SHOPPING DURING SALE SEASON

Elisse wanted to emphasize the importance of being practical when shopping for household essentials, recalling her own learning experience.

She said, "Back then, siguro naman first year of starting a family for me, akala ko yung mga magagandang gamit sa bahay, you have to actually spend a lot of money for it.

"But I realized along the way na kailangan talaga maging practical din. Na hindi porke’t, gusto mo ng gamit sa bahay, you have to spend a lot of money.

"You actually find a lot of things na affordable version of the one you want."

She was referring to promo items or at discounted prices during the sale season, which she used to ignore.

Elisse quipped, "Dati hindi, ngayon, oo na," which made the room laugh.

But, seriously, she continued, "Kasi habang tumatagal nga, habang lumalaki yung anak ko, dumadami din talaga yung gastos.

"So parang ngayon, we just go for the promos, we go for mga sales."

With that, Elisse also suggested, "Hindi naman siya masama if you opt for the more affordable version.

"Kasi ako personally, I like to mix it up with the more affordable pieces."

As though in secret, she said hush-hush, "Hindi nila malalaman yun," and added with a giggle, "Basta maganda yung pagkaka-ayos mo, and magagamit mo din naman siya talaga."

HOME FIXES

Elisse said she has always taken pleasure in rearranging things around her house, especially for the comfort of her daughter Felize.

"I very much enjoy decorating at home and always parang, changing up our furniture setup and decorations.

"Kung may pipiliin siguro ako [to revamp], maybe the living room.

"Because most of the time we spend our moments there with Felize when we wake up, dun talaga ako sa living room, nagba-bonding.

"And when we have guests over, doon din. So parang yun yung very excited ako to always do something different."

EXTRA HELP

A working mom, Elisse has been counting on her family for help

The 27-year-old actress expressed, "I'm very blessed siguro when it comes to having help. Not just the people around the house but yung families namin.

"When it comes to taking care of Felize and yung cleaning up, setting up the household, tinulungan din kami talaga ng families namin."

Being pragmatic, Elisse has pared down some of their usual home expenses.

She shared, "And when it comes to mga kasambahay, we started having a lot more help than we did.

"But since yun nga, in reality talagang magastos talaga ang buhay ngayon, we just have one help now. That's more than enough help that you can get.

"And I think yung pagiging hands-on sa bahay and sa anak, I feel like even without any kasambahay, it would be possible din talaga.

"We just have to ask help when needed—sa pamilya, sa kaibigan. We don't really need much to sustain the family."

INVOLVING FELIZE WITH CHORES

A proud momma, Elisse happily shared that Felize has reached the imitative stage and been doing simple household tasks like the people around her.

"She likes to play with yung walis, nagwawalis siya. Kasi yun yung nakikita niya around the house.

"Pag nagpupunas ng tables, nakikita niya din yun, and then ginagawa din niya."

Impressed by her daughter's actions, she remarked, "I feel like ang talino ng mga bata ngayon, kung ano yung makikita nila around the house, ang bilis nilang ma-pick up yun.

"So whenever, uutusan mo siya na, ‘Can you get mommy slippers?’ Marunong na siya talaga, kaya na din niya.

"And yung pagliligpit after using her toys, kaya na din yun. You just have to tell her why it's needed to be done, and then matututunan na nila."
