JC Santos has moved in to his one-bedroom apartment in Pasig City.

Aside from theater and television actor, not to mention dancer and singer, JC Santos adds “home owner” to his list of accomplishments.

This means a lot to the 28-year-old actor, whose first major purchase was a car.

At the launch of YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars in Luxent Hotel, he told Philippine Entertainment Portal in an exclusive interview, “Inuna ko ang kotse kasi mas kailangan sa trabaho yun.

“Saka para ko na ring bahay yun, puwedeng tulungan, puwedeng ilagay mga gamit.”

And less than a year since he was cast as Alejandro "Ali" Nicolas in ABS-CBN primetime series Till I Met You, JC bought a bachelor's pad somewhere in Pasig City.

“Ayun, sa wakas, nagka-apartment na.

“Kakalipat ko lang.”

The interview was held on June 11, he moved in on June 10.

The interiors have yet to be designed by Gywn Guanzon, “Hindi pa po tapos,” he threw in, before adding, “Bagung-bago pa, amoy pintura pa nga, at wala pa akong kurtina.”

On why he's thrilled about his first major investment, he said, “Yes, ten years ago na pumunta ako sa Maynila, hindi ako nagkaroon ng apartment.

“Parati lang akong room, bed space, kaya nung finally, meron na, ‘Heto na ito!’”

And given his stint with Hong Kong Disneyland and at Universal Studios Singapore, he animatedly related what it was like to be purchasing his appliances.

“Kaya nung bibili na ako ng bago kong ref, naku, mangiyak-ngiyak ako,” demonstrating how he hugged and kissed it.

“One day ko silang binili. So ref, microwave oven, kasi nga, lagi akong wala sa bahay, saka washing machine.”

PEP asked: “You do your own laundry?”

Smiling, he replied, “Siyempre, laking boarding house, e.”

But guess what’s his most prized possession is?

“Yung toaster! Naiiyak ako, yakap-yakap ko, lagi akong naghahanap ng bread toaster kasi breakfast person ako, e.”

This Kapampangan usually starts his day with “bread, butter, coffee, and sausage.”

JC has yet to buy a “kalan” even if he is “marunong magluto.”

He resumed, “Pag ganitong may taping, wala akong oras magluto kasi kaya hindi pa ako nagpu-purchase ng kalan.”

What are his signature dishes?

“Ay, marami…Hindi naman ako magaling, marunong lang.”

He nodded when asked if he knows how to cook adobo.

He added, “Kare-kare, mga ganyan.”

Back to his one-bedroom apartment, he said the design will be up to his Tita Gwyn.

“Theme? Wala, hindi ko alam, e. Wala rin akong sinabi.

“Gusto ko lang naman po ng lugar na sa iyo talaga, so haping-happy na ako dun.”

And he intends not to hire a helper, “Sanay din kasi ako sa gawaing bahay.”

PEP teased, “Puwede ka nang mag-asawa.”

JC simply winked.
