Angelina Cruz has started saving up to buy her own car.

Her mom Sunshine Cruz revealed this to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during a phone interview on September 30.

"Pinag-iipunan niya.

It helps Angelina that her mom has been guiding her and her younger sisters Sam and Cheska how to manage their money.

She often reminds Angelina, "''Anak, yung mga endorsement mo, yung natatanggap mong money, ipunin mo iyan.'

ANGELINA HAS HER MOM'S FULL TRUST

Sunshine also reveals to PEP.ph her advice to Angelina now that her daughter has come into her own.

She says, "Lagi ko naman sinasabi, now that she's 18, mag-ingat lang. Siyempre, puwede na siya mag-decide on her own, e, without her mom.

"Pero sabi ko nga, 'I'll always be here to support you and guide you pa rin.'

"Ever since naman, I really trust the girl. Parang it really doesn't matter kung 16, 17 sila, o 15.

"Tinuturuan ko kasi sila na maging independent talaga and, at the same time, they share everything to me and vice versa."

Sunshine also underlines the importance of having an open communication between her and her daughters.

"Tiwala lang sa isa't-isa. Mukha naman so far, so good.

"We are very open sa isa't-isa. Kaya it really doesn’t matter. Kahit anong edad nila, talagang pinagkakatiwalaan ko sila.

"Tinuturan ko lang sila maging independent and strong. Kailangan, e, dahil siyempre puro kami babae. Kailangan maging tibay din and so far, so good."

Angelina turned 18 years old last September 24, whch she celebrated with an intimate debut party on September 28.

Her gift from her celebrity mom, however, was still on its way at the time of our phone conversation with Sunshine.

She tells PEP.ph, "Hindi pa nga dumadating. May ino-order lang ako for her.

"Just a little something naman kasi hindi naman talaga nag-a-ask iyan, e.

"Kahit nga with the debut, talagang sabi niya intimate dinner lang with her friends and loved ones..."

ANGELINA HEADING TO COLLEGE

Angelina will soon graduate from high school and has already applied for her entrance at the Ateneo de Manila University, her top pick.

Ateneo is located in Quezon City, which is far from their home in Parañaque, and it worries Sunshine that Angelina may have to live away from home while in college.

She says, "Ayoko pa isipin.

A part of her hopes that Angelina will eventually choose De La Salle University instead, which is located in Taft, Manila.

"Mas malapit kasi kung Taft kasi from the South kami.

Support na lang talaga as a mom...

"Tignan nalang muna natin kung ano man ang mas gusto niya. Ateneo o Taft o kung ano man, and then wait and see na lang ako.

"Siyempre, kailangan maging handa kasi ganoon talaga, e. Kailangan din nila gawin.

"Also for their own good. Kaya all-out support. Hundred and one support ako sa kanya."
