Judy Ann Santos, family send home-cooked food to Taal evacuees and volunteers

Over the last few days, the household of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo has been busy preparing food and relief goods for Taal volcano's victims and volunteers.

On Thursday night, January 16, the Starla star updated her Instagram stories with a series of videos.

Judy Ann annotated: "A thousand packed food from Tita Femi with tinapay.

"Towels and blankets from our friends, old clothes... Darating lahit po ito diyan sa Rosario."

Rosario is a municipality in Batangas, where some of the evacuation centers are located.

In a separate post on her Instagram Story, Judy Ann related how family and friends helped her cook paksiw na baboy for 1,000 people of an evacuation center in Batangas.

Judy Ann's nine-year-old son Lucho was one of her helpers.

In an Instagram post yesterday, January 16, Judy Ann posted a photo of Ryan leading the team that distributed food and relief goods.

Judy Ann said of her husband: "Verified My love.. [heart emojis] visited 2 evacuation centers to give hot meals. #bangontaal"

Ryan also put out photos of Judy Ann and Lucho in his Instagram account.

He simply wrote: "Always [heart emoji."

In another Instagram Story, the Kapamilya actress introduced her "packing team," which included her mom Carolina Lumagui.

Fresh from his latest deliveries, Ryan quipped that Judy Ann is the "packer" and Mommy Carol is the "mother packer."

Judy Ann and Ryan started their personal initiative on Thursday, January 15.

In an Instagram post, Judy Ann said her team of volunteers was able to pack relief goods for 35 families.

She wrote: "These reusable boxes will be sent to 35 families tom."

The actress also urged everyone to use reusable containers to distribute relief goods.

"By using reusable boxes, instead of plastic bags ang paglagyan natin ng ating mga tulong sa mga kababayan natin...sabay nating natutulungan mabawasan ang pagdagdag ng basura sa mga evacuation areas.

"Sama sama tayong babangon para sa mga kababayan nating nangangailangan ng tulong at pagdamay."



Judy Ann's social media posts are expected to send a message of unity to Batangueños suffering the loss of their farms, houses, and animals.

The same posts are also expected to inspire others, who have the means and resources, to start their own private initiatives to help out.
