Chito Miranda and Neri Naig talk money matters.

Chito admitted that his setup with Neri is unconventional.

"May money si Neri, may money ako. We have separate bank accounts," he said.

"Maraming nagtatanong, 'Bakit ganoon, e, kasal kayo? Conjugal property dapat ang mga ganyan.'

"Which is, oo, totoo."

Chito also acknowledged that the "traditional" way a husband and a wife handle their finances involve the woman handling all of the income and the man working to make income.

"'Tapos babae iyong magba-budget. Siya iyong may hawak sa pera, ganoon, which is okay iyan.

"Okay talaga iyan. Tradition iyan.

Chito also pointed out that women nowadays are more career-oriented.

"Aside from the fact that some of them need to work, some of them kahit hindi nila kailangan, they'd rather work. Tama?

"So now, people earn na their own money. Minsan, ang ginagawa nila, hati-hati sila.

"Ganito ngayon sa amin, just so you know."

According to Chito, finding the right financial setup for couples begins with knowing one's role and purpose in the arrangement.

The OPM artist continued, "Ako, as I said, know your roles.

"Everything that I earn is also for the family. Kumbaga, gusto ko anything about Miggy, food, utilities—basta everything about sa bahay—gusto ko, sagot ko."

Miggy is Chito and Neri's three-year-old son.

Neri revealed she has no qualms about Chito handling the household budget.

"Why not si Chito, e, marunong siya maghawak ng pera?" the celebrity mom said.

Neri would also consult Chito on her business decisions, although she still has the final say.

When it comes to having separate bank accounts, the former actress said it allows her to provide for her family in her own way, and to invest in her personal interests.

As Chito explained: "Si Neri, kumikita siya on her own naman.
