Reporter-turned-pilot Steve Dailisan is venturing into online selling.
The former GMA-7 reporter who became popular because of his signature sign-off "Steeeeeeve Dailisan" on the Kapuso network's news programs is now a pilot for Cebu Pacific.
But as the airline industry struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic, Steve has decided to focus on selling food online as he waits for his next assignment.
"Magbebenta na po ako ng laman!" Steve cheekily said in his social media pages on July 1, 2020, to announce that he is now selling a variety of meats, including embutido, pork tocino, and pork barbecue.
Published as is, his update read: "While waiting for the right time to FLY... MAGBEBENTA NA PO AKO NG LAMAN! Kidding aside, I'll be rolling out TaSTeeve soon!
"Siyempre mas pinahaba natin ang SARAAAP para consistent! Ready to take your orders starting 01 July 2020.
"As my way of saying thank you, I will personally deliver to first 25 clients (minimum order of 10 items) Paranaque, Las Piñas, and Pasay areas only. We will also accept orders for PARTY TRAYS!
"Menu will be out soon! Please follow our FB Page: TASTEeeve and IG: @tasteeeve to trans."
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on July 2, 2020, Steve talked about how he partnered with a friend to start an online food business.
He chose to sell food because he is an avid cook, and considers Filipino dishes his specialty.
It is also his way of earning extra income during these unprecedented times where a deadly virus dominates the world.
Steve bid the Kapuso network farewell in February 2018 to fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot. He enrolled in the Leading Edge International Aviation Academy Inc.
A year later, in October 2019, Steve was hired by Cebu Pacific. He experienced piloting domestic and international flights before the onset of the pandemic.
