Korina Sanchez talked about love and romance in an Instagram Live interview with TV writer G3 San Diego last August 10, 2020.
For the ABS-CBN broadcaster, "love is all about commitment."
Korina elaborated, "Love is much more than a feeling. I think love is about deciding that you're going to go for it and you're going to be there for the long haul.
"You have to be sure that if you are going to get married, get hitched, you and your partner have to agree on what is the definition of love."
The host of Rated K married former senator Mar Roxas on October 27, 2009.
She said, "Hindi ko naman iyan alam nung kinasal ako. Education is eternal, correct?
"I also try to tell him that. Ang babae medyo mas masinop diyan kaysa lalake."
The veteran journalist further revealed she was one of those who don't believe in marriage.
She told her interviewer, "Alam mo, nung kinasal ako, I told him talaga na, una, hindi ako naniniwala sa kasal.
"Hindi ako naniniwala na you have to get stuck with someone for the rest of your life.
"I think you have to be with someone who you really want to be with, who can make you grow, and who really makes you feel loved.
"And if it doesn't work anymore—bye."
Korina conceded she has come to accept the idea of marriage.
However, she insisted that partners must agree on what love means to both of them in a relationship.
She said, "Kung ikakasal ka man, siguraduhin mo na pareho ang inyong mga values and definitions... you have to be certain about definitions.
"What is important is the definition of what constitutes loving behavior between you and your partner."
Korina and Mar have two kids: Pepe and Pilar, both 1 year old.
They've been married for 10 years and are still negotiating whose definition of loving behavior is right for both of them, his or hers.
