Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla say they've become more appreciative of small victories during the pandemic. As the actor puts it, "Milestone na lang din na nandito pa rin tayo hanggang ngayon.

International exposure is big deal for local artists, even for A-list stars like Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla who have fans in various parts of the world.

The reel- and real-life couple are featured—together with basketball heartthrob Ricci Rivero, social media sensation Mimiyuuuh, and P-pop boyband SB19—in the Pepsi #HitSaSarap ad digital billboards on Times Square in New York City and in Downtown Los Angeles in California.

Kathryn and Daniel have not seen the billboards personally; in fact, according to the actress during the interview with the group hosted by Pepsi Philippines #HitSaSarap, they didn't even know about them.

She said, "Actually, hindi nila sinabi sa amin yung tungkol doon kaya nung lumabas yun, nagulat din kami."

Asked about their reaction to being part of an ad displayed internationally, Kathryn said both she and Daniel were thrilled.

"And sino ba ang hindi matutuwa? It's a dream come true 'di ba for every artist na ma-feature doon. I never thought na mapupunta yung faces namin doon.

"Not just in New York pero pati sa Downtown L.A., nandun yung faces namin and yung TVC na ginawa namin.

"So sobra niyang surreal but nakakatuwa na na-experience namin yun. It's such an honor."

Daniel, for his part, was grateful for the opportunity to represent the Filipinos abroad.

He said, "Salamat sa Pepsi ano, nabigyan tayo ng pagkakataon na maipakita tayo, ang talento ng Pilipino, maipakita tayo doon sa New York, sa Times Square."

Kathry added that the pandemic has made her more appreciative of small victories, "So yung mga small wins namin ni Deej, yun yung since-celebrate namin ngayon,

So, mas na-appreciate lang namin lahat."

In a related topic, Kathry said she aimed for personal growth through her vlog on YouTube.

She told PEP.ph (Phiippine Entertainment Portal), "It's more of the personal growth as akin kasi hindi...

"Ano siya, e, medyo challenging, di ba? Hanggang ngayon, hindi siya natatapos."

Daniel, on the other hand, has been keeping himself busy with new skills, such as video production.

The 26-year-old Kapamilya actor said, "Ako naman, parang I've tried new things ngayong pandemic, di ba?

"Marami akong nasubukan na nasa likod ako ng camera, you know, production."

But more than anything else, Daniel worries about his family's good health and well-being.
