Twenty-eight empowered Filipinas brought their A-game to the preliminary swimsuit and evening gown competitions of Miss Universe Philippines 2021.
The candidates flaunted their sexy curves in an orange-red bikini from PauLina, the swimwear line of Filipino fashion designer Mikee Andrei.
Then they showed their confidence and sophisticated style in their choice of evening gowns.
Both stages of the competition are crucial in determining the semi-finalists of the pageant.
This list puts a spotlight on 16 standout candidates during the swimsuit and evening gown preliminaries based on their bearing and pasarela performances.
It also reveals their gown designers.
Fan-favorite Steffi Rose Aberasturi of Cebu Province
She showed off her best assets in her blush pink serpentina gown by Cebu-based fashion designer Philipp Tampus.
Cavite's Victoria Vincent Velasquez

The 5'3" aspiring beauty queen from Marinduque treated her height as "power" as she charmed pageant fans in her pink form-fitting gown by Hollywood-based Filipino fashion designer Oliver Tolentino.
In the comments section of one of her photos uploaded on the official Facebook page of Miss Universe Philippines, some pageant fans likened her to Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 Bea Patricia Magtanong.
Misamis Oriental's Chella Grace Falconer

Only 16 candidates will advance to the next round of the pageant after the preliminaries. One slot in the Top 16 will be filled by the winner of the online poll via the Lazada app, which will end on September 29, 2021.
The pageant is scheduled to happen on September 30, 2021, at Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol. It will be streamed on KTX.ph.
