There is no such thing as a flawless wedding.
On Saturday evening, November 20, 2021, Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo revealed through a YouTube vlog more details about their civil wedding.
On Monday, November 15, 2021, the couple tied the knot at TGIS Studio, which is owned by Kathryn Bernardo.
Jennylyn talked about the undforseen circumstnaces that took place on their big day.
"Actually, yung wedding, morning pa lang, ang sakit na nung ulo ko. So hanggang Sunday morning, sabi ko, 'Baby, parang iba pa rin yung pakiramdam ko."
Dennis added, "Ang daming nangyari. Medyo stressed kami nung araw na yun."
Jennylyn threw in, "Hindi ko in-expect na ganun din yung ano kasi nitong mga past few weeks, ang dami naming ginawang preparations.
"Siyempre, tinulungan ako ng best friend kong si Nice na asikasuhin lahat."
Their wedding was delayed for an hour because of many factors.
One was the influx of people.
Dennis recalled, "Umaga pa lang, may konting stress na dahil ang daming tao sa bahay.
"'Tapos mas matagal pa yung preparasyon, di ba, kesa dun sa wedding mismo."
Next, it rained.
The Kapuso actor continued, "Papunta na kami sa venue, bigla namang umulan. Buti na lang, malapit lang yung venue dito sa bahay."
The couple apologized to the guests who were already at the venue.
Dennis said, "...siyempre andun na yung mga tao, umuulan nang konti, medyo stressful na kasi tayo na lang talaga yung hinihintay."
Lastly, the groom brought the wrong box, which was supposed to contain their wedding rings from Seph Vergara Fine Jewelry.
Jennylyn recounted the moment, "Siyempre pumunta na tayo dun sa gazeebo. Andun na si Justice na 10 a.m. pa lang nandun na naghihintay."
Their marriage was solemnized by Supreme Court Associate Justice Jhosep Lopez
She resumed, "Hiningi ni justice, 'Nasan na yung ring para i-ready na?' bago mag-start yung ceremony.
"'Tapos sabi nila, 'Ito yung ring...' 'Tapos binigay nila yung box nung engagement ring, sabi ko, 'Ay, hindi iyan!'
"'Tapos nakita ko yung mukha ni Dennis parang, 'Oh my god, mali yung nalagay ko...'
"Sabi ko, 'Talaga naman...'"
For his part, Dennis explained, "Kaya nalito ako kasi yung isang box dun, walang laman. So kakamadali namin, ang nakuha kong box yung walang laman.
"So pagdating dun sa venue, aligaga nga... Ang dami ko ring iniisip nung araw na yun. So iba pala yung nadampot kong box. Yung nadampot kong box yung walang laman."
Good thing, the venue's location was only a few minutes away from their house.
And instead of stressing themselves out, the bride and groom remained composed throughout the intimate affair.
The most important thing was: "Tuloy ang kasal!"
It was on October 29, 2021, when Jennylyn and Dennis announced their engagement and the actress' pregnancy.
But the couple has been engaged since October 8.
Jennylyn and Dennis both have sons from their previous relationships.
Alex Jazz, Jennylyn's son with Patrick Garcia, is now 13 years old. Calix, Dennis' son with former beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, is the same age as Alex Jazz.
