Internet Sensation Sassa Gurl, whose real name is Felix Petate, is now a certified calendar model!

On Friday, January 14, 2022, the 25-year-old content creator proudly announced on social media that she is the White Castle's calendar model for 2021.

Sassa Gurl, who rose to fame amid the COVID-19 pandemic, is known for creating videos about childhood memories and "jeje" school stories on TikTok.

She currently has 4.4 million followers on TikTok, 620,000 followers on Facebook, 186,000 subscribers on YouTube, and 78,000 followers on Instagram.

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Instagram's direct message, Sassa Gurl revealed that she didn't expect the liquor brand to actually make her the face of its 2022 calendar.

FROM MEME TO REALITY

On December 21, 2021, Sassa Girl went viral on social media after telling the brand to get her as its calendar girl. This was days after Chie Filomeno was announced as the calendar girl for Ginebra and Bea Alonzo for Tanduay.

Sassa Gurl jokingly wrote in an Instagram post, "kaming bakla ang malakas magpainom tas, kayong mga babae mag cacalendar girl? ulol. charis"

And now that she has joined the ranks of Bea and Chie as 2022 calendar girls, what Sassa Gurl is most proud of is being able to represent the LGBT community.

"In fairness, this is the representation we are asking for."

During the planning stage of her shoot, Sassa Gurl was very hands-on.

She expressed her gratitude toward her glam team—stylist Dave Arden and make-up artist Keiv Torres—for the photo shoot.

She said, "Sa planning, yes, na-involve ako, may mga suggestions ako, at ako din ang pumili ng glam team ko, shout-out to Keiv Torres make-up artistry and Dave Arden style PH."

Meanwhile, Sassa Gurl said her fans will see more of her on TV in the coming months.

In June 2015, Sassa Gurl starred in an episode of GMA-7's weekend program Wish Ko Lang with Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid.
