Not all celebrities can juggle work and school, even more so when they take on the more challenging role of being a full-time mom.

With all the demands and rigors of their jobs both personally and professionally, some celebrities chose to prioritize their careers first and put their education on hold.

But there are a few others who understand the value of education, not just for its professional merits, but for their own sense of validation and personal fulfillment

Get inspired by these celebrity moms who did not let their fame, mom status, and age stop them from pursuing a degree.

G TOENGI

Former actress-host G Toengi proved that it’s never too late to hit the books!

At the age of 43, G went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Communication at the University of California, Los Angeles.

She thanked her husband, Tim Walters, for allowing her to pursue further studies.

"He is the reason I am able to pursue my graduate degree.

"I can rely on him to make sure the kids are taken care of and between all the kids activities and community service I do, it really requires a support system.” she said.

In an Instagram post, G also shared a sweet moment with her kids Sakura and Kenobi during her graduation rites.

JODI STA. MARIA

Kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria excelled both in her craft in the classroom and on the small screen.

The 39-year-old took up Psychology at the Southville International School and Colleges.

She graduated with a “Dean’s Merit” as a consistent honor student. Jodi also took to Instagram to share this new milestone.

She wrote: "I share this milestone with everyone who has supported me through the years – my teachers, my family, my management team, my friends.

"Thank you for letting me reach my stars.

"To God be all the glory, honor and praise. “Remember, it is never too late, and you are never too old to reach your stars."

LJ REYES

Aside from being an actress and a mom, LJ Reyes prides herself in taking on her role as a diligent student.

In 2012, the actress went back to college to finish her degree in Economics at the De La Salle University in Manila.

In an interview with PEP.ph, LJ shared that she wanted to be a good role model for her child, Aki.

"I went back to studies, Kailangan ko mag-invest for, not only for my future, but also for Aki's future.

"Kasi siyempre, alam naman natin na ang pag-aartista, hindi naman iyan lifetime, di ba?

"So, gusto ko rin naman na makapagtapos ako, yun.

"So, para rin ano, para rin... gusto ko yung maging example din ako sa anak ko—na nag-finish ako ng school." she said.

While juggling her showbiz commitments and being a hands-on mom to her three daughters, Sunshine Cruz earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Arellano University.

According to the actress, her next goal is to become a licensed psychiatrist by the time she’s 50.

Rica Peralejo showed that you can also pursue other passions outside of work.

Because of the rigors of her schedule during her showbiz heyday, Rica resorted to home schooling in lieu of formal schooling.

In 2012, the actress-turned-vlogger finally earned her degree in English Literature at the Ateneo de Manila University.

At the age of 30, Valerie successfully finished AB Psychology under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program of Arellano University, all while fully attending to her duties as an actress and mom.

The actress-host took to Instagram to thank the people who helped her finish college.

Her caption read: Finally [graduation hat emoji]”

“I want to thank my loved ones who supported me and pushed/inspired me to finish my studies.

Ruffa Gutierrez’s showbiz commitments and full-time mommy duties did not hinder her from pursuing higher education.
