Just like ordinary people, Maine Mendoza and Kim Chiu do intense fangirling.

Stars are used to hearing fans scream their names.

But just like ordinary people, they too have their "faney" moments.

Lea Salonga, for example, who is a world-class performer, once admitted in one of her concerts that she would probably faint when she shares the stage with Barbra Streisand.

And at the height of the AlDub phenomenon last year, a lot of stars would want to have their pictures taken with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

Here are top "faney" moments of local stars who did more than just posting wefies on Instagram, but also screamed their idol's name like there's no tomorrow.

1. Maine Mendoza

She has a crazy schedule.

But Maine flew to U.S. last August to watch the concert of Coldplay in Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, California.

Aside from posting a selfie clad in a Coldplay shirt...

...she screamed, cried, and posted this poem for the British rock band.

2. Carla Abellana

The Kapuso star likes Katy Perry so much that she sporadically gives the Hollywood singer a tribute of sorts on her Instagram feed.

She is a proud #katycats member.

So when Katy had her The Prismatic World Tour, Carla flew to Australia with her mom and sister to watch her idol's concert .

Her outfit was inspired by one of Katy's costumes, too.

Carla even flashed a placard which read, "Katy, we flew from manila to see you," and her eyes were swollen from "happy crying."

3. Daniel Padilla

The Kapamilya star is such a big fan of NBA cager Stephen Curry that he has a collection of the latter's Under Armour shoes.

It was also a big deal to him when Stephen followed him on Twitter. His reaction then were three letters: "OMG."

So when he finally met him in 2015, it was a "dream come true."

4. Kim Chiu

The Chinita beauty is a huge fan of Taylor Swift. In fact, she will name her future daughter after the American singer.

Some of her OOTDs were also inspired by Taylor's.

So you could just imagine her reaction when Taylor had her concert here two years ago.

Kim made sure she'd get front-row seats, tried to shake hands with Taylor, and made sure her video will catch the true-blue fangirl jumping in excitement.

i know...i know....part1 #fangirl #pagbigyan haha thank you #taylorswiftviaairasia @ususero

5. Gelli de Belen

Gelli, along with her friends Carmina Villarroel and Candy Pangilinan, is a big fan of Kpop.

But she's most crazy about Park Bo Gum and Lee Min Ho.

Every now and then, she would post their pictures.

When she went to South Korea, she was happy to have her picture taken beside the standee of the Reply 1988 star.

She also supports the endeavors and endorsements of Lee Min Ho.

Her caption for this photo: "Okay no need to explain. Walang kokontra please."

"Yeobo" is the Korean word for "darling."

When she had the chance to meet the Legend of the Blue Sea stars, she and her sis Janice De Belen attended his fan meet, and had this wefie with Lee Min Ho.

6. Alden Richards

Despite his current stature and the fact that a lot of people would want to have their picture taken with him, Alden still gets starstruck each time he sees his local idol John Lloyd Cruz.

The two recently met again in a Makati restobar.

And Alden proudly posted on Facebook his "fan-boy" moment.

8. Louise delos Reyes

The Kapuso leading lady joined a shampoo brand's raffle promo so she could have the chance to meet Selena Gomez.

A Selenator, Louise posted their short convo backstage.

"Selena: Hi! Oh my gosh, your outfit's so cute! Let me give you a hug.

"Me: Hiii!!! Thank you! *photo op"

"Selena: And she smells so good, too!" *winks at me*

"Me: *dying* --- STILL NOT OVER THIS!!! It feels sooo surreal meeting @selenagomez before her #RevivalTourPH concert yesterday.

"I was really ecstatic when Pantene told me that I'm the lucky online influencer from #TeamPantene who got picked from the raffle draw to meet Selena. I really couldn't believe it!"

9. Alexa Ilacad

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) personally witnessed Alexa's faney moment at the anniversary of YES! magazine last year.

She really was frantic upon seeing Marian Rivera.

The teen star managed to look calm during the picture-taking. She was able to introduce herself.

But after their brief encounter, she ran to her love-team partner Nash Aguas, exclaimed, "Yes," then she jumped with glee and added, "Ang saya-saya ko! Oh my god!"

10. Angelica Panganiban

In 2015, Angelica watched Alyssa Valdez's game for Ateneo Lady Eagles versus De La Salle Lady Spikers.

She also wore a blue jacket and blue lipstick.

Spin.ph reported that after the game, Angelica even went to the press room, and was quoted as saying, "Lakas maka-tao. Parang pantay-pantay lang kayo. Nalalaman nila [fans] na ordinaryong tao lang din ako. Nalalaman din nila na may mga idol din ako."

Alyssa's reaction was epic when this photo was taken, "Oh my god, ang ganda niya! Para naman ako naging katulong."
