It's not something we like doing, but there really are times while scrolling through our feeds when we encounter posts about breakups that aren't so nice.

Ex-couples sometimes resort to posting about the end of their relationship and how it's the other person's fault and how ugly things got in the end that's why they just had to split up.

We're not judging, though, because we know that breakups get really painful and difficult to handle at times.

But this post from a girl who broke up with her boyfriend of seven years is a breath of fresh air.

Instead of talking about her ex in a bad light, Karla Andrea Bonifacio, a lovely lady from Mandaluyong City, shared a lengthy post talking about how wonderful and beautiful those seven years with him were.

Karla began, "It actually took so much courage to post this...

"But for the past 7 years & 7 months, people witnessed the love story that was Gio & Karla.

"For almost 8 years, I've only loved one person.

"He loved me since we were 14 but it took me 2 years to realize that I love him too."

She looked back on the highs and lows of their relationship.

From high school, college to employment, Karla and Gio were each other's partners.

"We were the ideal couple.

"We do everything together.

"I can't even see myself loving somebody else.

"Because I already found my soulmate when I was still in St. John's Academy's green jumper, my black leather shoes with white socks & my backpack.

"My future was him.

"He was the person I want to see at the end of the altar."

But, without going into the details, Karla and Gio broke up their seven-year long relationship.

In both posts, netizens reached out to her and sent her messages of admiration.

In an exclusive interview with FemaleNetwork.com, Karla gave words of encouragement to those who might be going through the same hurtful experience.

"Cry. Cry a lot.

"Cry everyday if you wish.

"Never ever apologize for crying.

"It is not a sign of weakness.

"Heartbreak is never easy.

"But like what I said in my previous post, an end of a long-term relationship doesn’t mean the end of the world."
