Now seven months pregnant, Erika Padilla still tries to lead an active lifestyle.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the launch of Globe At Home on July 23, Erika said, "Okay naman because I’m a yoga teacher also.
"So I’m used to a very active lifestyle and up to now nagtuturo pa rin ako, nag-e-exercise pa rin ako."
How's her pregnancy so far?
"It's fairly easy, hindi ko rin naman masasabing hindi ako nahirapan.
"But I didn’t have morning sickness, I didn’t have cravings.
"Pero nahilo din naman ako, inantok din naman ako, nag-acid reflux din naman ako pero apart from that, okey naman lahat,” she added.
However, she noted one major change, particularly in the way she sees things now that she's about to become a mom.
The host/actress continued, "Siguro, for the longest time I’m used to being very independent and career-oriented.
"And now, I’m focused on all my effort. May patutunguhan na yung pinaghihirapan ko.
"Of course, you think of your future pero now, mas konkreto yung paglalaanan ka hindi lang yung para sa sarili mo.”
BABY'S NAME. She and husband/ cager Jeffrey Cariaso will name their baby boy Greyson Jet.
The mom-to-be explained, "Monicker kasi ni Jeff when he was still playing, 'the jet.'
"Pero I wanted to honor him, of course, since nagkakilala kami sa basketball.
"Nung we were still thinking about the name dahil lalake, Baby Jet na lang para may association sa kanya, may association kung paano nakilala yung tatay no'ng baby.
“Greys naman, initially kasi, it will be a baby girl and he wanted to honor his mom who already passed away. Her name is Gloria.
"And then ang pangalan ng mom ko is Grace.
"So parang alteration lang and something to do with the lola din.”
After giving birth, the next big celebration for the couple will be Baby Jet's christening.
Erika says, "Shortly after I give birth.
"Wala pa kaming naiisip kung sino ang magiging godparents.
"Ang dami pa naming iniintindi ngayon.
"Sandali na lang yun, isang upuan lang na mapagdidesisyunan na lang.”
JEFF AS A HUSBAND. Their church wedding is slated for July 2018.
But they already had a civil wedding last month in San Francisco, California.
She recalls, "He was born and raised in the States.
"And it was just easier for technicality if we get married first before the baby comes out.
"Mas madali sa States, kasi civil. Mas madali lang ang proseso.
"Citizen naman na siya [Jeff] kaya kahit dito ako manganak.”
Before tying the knot, they were boyfriend and girlfriend for two years.
And so far, "okey naman siya," referring to their relationship.
She added, “We’ve been living in together before we got married."
Jeff has two kids from his previous marriage. That's not an issue to her either.
"Nandito sila ngayon, okey naman.
"Kasi when we got together, he’s been divorced for four years already.
"So it’s been quite a while before we got together as a couple.
“So parang they already knew of the situation of their parents.
"Ibig kong sabihin, hindi naman malaking isyu na ikinasal uli yung tatay nila,” she explained.
Erika then enumerated her husband's qualities.
"He’s a very responsible person.
"He really has a good character na talagang yung integridad niya buo.
"He’s a responsible man
"Napaka-OC, pareho kaming malinis sa gamit, very neat.
"So magkasundo kami sa maraming bagay," she reveals.
One gesture that Erika finds so sweet: "He never fails to kiss me every morning and at night, never. Walang mintis."
