Liza Soberano: "I love taking photographs because I love capturing moments that are happening in my life."

ABS-CBN actress Liza Soberano is one of the busiest and most sought-after celebrities in the country.

And yet the 19-year-old Kapamilya talent finds the time to indulge in her hobby—photography.

And she has one golden rule when posting the photos she herself has shot: no filter!

Liza said she wants her photos to be vibrant and natural-looking, "I like it more natural looking, I don't like to wash out my photos too much.

"I don't like black and white, because then, you can't see the beauty of it.

"Also, sometimes I forget where that picture was taken because you can't see the color.

"Parang it doesn't stimulate your senses so that you can remember where you were."

Liza’s passion for photography started in December 2015 when she flew to Italy with Enrique Gil for the filming of their hit primetime series Dolce Amore.

She recalled, "That was the first time I went to Italy and when I saw how beautiful it was there, parang I got inspired to take photos.

"I don't think you really have to edit or anything," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press in a round table interview last Thursday, August 3.

The occasion was the launch of Fujifilm's latest cameras at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

The Kapamilya teen star said photography is also her way of documenting special moments of her life.

She said, "I love taking photographs because I love capturing moments that are happening in my life.

"Especially na artista ako and everything is so fast paced.

“I have to have memories that I can gather for when I'm older, I can look back to all my achievements."

Her favorite subjects? Scenic views and nature.

Liza told the press, "I learned that I was more passionate about taking photos of things. I like taking photos of buildings, of statues, and flowers. Basically, nature."

Some of the places she looks forward to visiting and taking photos are the Maldives, Mexico, and “anywhere in South America, and anywhere in Europe."
