Even when she was single, Cristine Reyes has never aspired to buy designer items.
Cristine told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the press launch of SM Simply Shoes last September 5, "Mas more of traveling kaysa stuff like that."
Looking proud, her husband Ali Khatibi added, “I don’t think she’s the type… she doesn’t buy stuff like that.”
He quipped, “Don’t give her ideas!”
Traveling is among their favorite forms of family bonding.
Their latest trip was in Japan, where Cristine and Ali's daughter Amarah experienced her first-ever train ride.
When it comes to shopping, Cristine opts for “style and comfortability” rather than the price or label.
The celeb mom remarked, “Ma-shoes ako na tao. Sobra.
“I don’t go for, like, mga mamahalin. I go for the style and comfortability talaga.”
In fact, Cristine prefers flats over heels.
“Hindi talaga ako ma-heels na tayo. Gusto ko comfortable talaga suot ko…”
MONEY TALK. In the Khatibi household, Cristine is in charge of budgeting their income.
Ali told PEP, “It’s Cristine who handles it. Siya na bahala mag-budget. She has her notebook.”
Cristine added, “Ma-list ako na tao.”
The family's motto when it comes to money?
Ali underlined, “A penny saved is a penny earned…
“Saving money is always good.”
