Fresh from her eight-day family vacation in Paris, Leila Alcasid took part in the Bench Fashion Week Holiday 2017 last September 7, at the Bench Tower in Bonifacio Global City.
Back in March 2017, Bench Fashion Week was Leila's first celebrity event.
She was just two months in Manila around that time, and much had happened since then.
Leila is Ogie's eldest daughter with his first wife, Michelle van Eimeren. For most of her formative years, she and her younger sister Sarah lived in Australia with their mom and stepdad.
In a short exclusive chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Ogie Alcasid's 19-year-old daughter recounted her first fashion event.
She said, "Very different!
"When I was here, sitting and thinking about when I first came to one of these, I was so shy and so different.
"I still feel like I'm settling in, but I feel very involved.
"So yeah, I'm enjoying myself.
"I think I made the right decision."
With Leila getting the hang of her new life as a celebrity, her dad Ogie and stepmom Regine Velasquez would always remind her to "stay grounded."
She added, "Make sure it's what I want to do, and make sure I'm enjoying myself above all…"
Leila is currently working on her album, and its release is slated for next year.
