Newbie actor Matthias Rhoads has learned to rise from his cyberbullying experience. "I know how to prioritize emotions. I think the way to handle it is to get it out of the existence, you have the control of yourself."

Super Ma'am cast member Matthias Rhoads got featured in Blogger's Style Camp 2017, an annual campaign promoting the #HeartOverHate culture on social media.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Matthias revealed that he himself was a victim of cyberbullying.

The Filipino-American recounted, "I remember the time that I started my career here in the Philippines, there’s a promotion for Super Ma’am with Marian Rivera."

From his stint as the "groom" in a fast-food chain commercial, Matthias became Trevor Jones, the love interest of Marian in the latter's TV series.

He posted this photo, which earned some nasty comments from the Netizens.

"I read some comments in social media, and there’s a lot of bad chain comments about me.

"People are getting mad at me, saying that, 'What Matthias doing here in the Philippines?'

"They said that I don’t have career here because I'm ‘Inglesero’ that I don’t know daw how to speak Tagalog very well."
