After opening up for the first time about the passing of their baby girl, Saab Magalona and husband Jim Bacarro find solace from the immense love, support, and prayers of their followers on Instagram.
Saab tweeted yesterday, March 6, “Thank you to everyone for your love and support during this trying time...”
After a month-long absence from her social media accounts, the musician/blogger returned online to break her silence about losing her baby girl.
Saab was expecting twins, and revealed in her blog post that she was in and out of the Intensive Care Unit the last month, and almost didn’t make it.
It was not clear in her blog if this happened before she gave birth or if she was in any danger during childbirth.
The blog post also did not mention the date Saab gave birth, so it was also unclear whether her other newborn died hours or days after she was delivered.
Saab only wrote this sad note: “On February 8, we lost our baby girl.”
Meanwhile, Saab and Jim’s living twin, a baby boy, was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Saab continued in her post, “Our baby boy is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
“The doctors initially said he was in critical condition.
“He has fought through so many complications and had to undergo surgery and is thankfully doing much better today.”
Later, on Twitter, Saab reported that her son was no longer in critical condition.
From here, the 29-year-old mom asked for more prayers for her boy: “We’d also like to clarify that our baby boy is NOT in critical condition. He is recovering well in the NICU — let’s pray we can take him home by the end of the month (heart emojis)”
