Piolo Pascual has the means to afford life's luxuries, but is not one to splurge on things he does not need.
"I'm not stingy. I'm sometimes frugal, but I'm very practical, I really don't spend as much...
"I don't spend on stuff na I don't use naman.
"I don’t spend on things that I don’t need, sayang lang," the 41-year-old matinee idol told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a quick one-on-one chat at a recent endorsement event in Quezon City.
But he does have "investments."
Piolo shared that age and maturity have taught him to be more sensible about his choices.
He said, "Everything now is about moderation. Iyon naman iyong importante…
"So I guess when you get older, you become more wise, you become more practical.
"You just do the things that will make you a better person."
He added it's better to steer clear of things "that will make you feel old or less in your life span."
When asked about the most expensive thing he bought for himself, Piolo quickly said, "A house in Malibu that I sold."
According to the U.S.-based real estate company, Zillow, houses in Malibu, California have the median value of $2.97 million or PHP158.74 million.
