When actress Marian Rivera started her online flower shop Flora Vida, she went to Japan to learn how to design and preserve flowers.
“Ayoko namang gamitin yung salitang nag-aral kasi ilang araw lang naman, hindi naman as in pag-aaral na buwan o taon ang ginawa ko,” said the GMA Prime-time Queen.
Marian's floral designs are different because they don't wilt easily, and last for two to three years.
The wife and mom also credited her husband Dingdong for encouraging her to pursue this type of business.
She said, “Ang asawa ko, talagang pinush ako. Sabi niya kung talaga raw ito ang passion ko bakit hindi ko gawin?”
While she loves flowers, Dong is into motorcycles.
"Mahilig siyang mag-motor. Babaeng-babae, bulaklak, 'tapos lalaking-lalaki, motor, di ba?"
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had a chat with Marian during her Hana Shampoo LiveCon on June 28, at the Manila House Private Members Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
At the event, socialite Tessa Prieto-Valdes remarked, “I soooo love this girl! Kapag may picture ako with you, tumataas ang [Instagram] followers ko.”
Tessa also asked if Marian's secret to constantly looking beautiful is because she remains in love with Dingdong, Marian agreed.
Tessa's next question was: When will they give Zia a sibling?
“To be honest? Working on it,” Marian answered.
“I hope meron na,” she added, laughing.
Does she want to have a boy or a girl this time?
“Actually tuwing tinatanong ako, ‘Ano ang next na gusto mong anak?’
“Ang palagi kong sagot, kahit ano, basta healthy. Pero siyempre given a chance, kung makakahirit lang, gusto ko naman boy kasi I have Zia na, e.
“Para may boy naman ako, pero kung girl, okay pa rin.”
“So… so yun, any, girl or boy, any.”
