Thousands of Filipino K-Pop and K-drama fans gathered at the meet-and-greet session hosted by Penshoppe with South Korean superstars Sandara Park and Nam Joo Hyuk on Sunday, July 29, in SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
Dara has always been close to Filipinos' hearts after spending most of her childhood in the country, and having a brief stint at the local entertainment scene from 2004 to 2007.
Meanwhile, it was Nam Joo Hyuk's second time to visit the country following the massive success of his solo event in September 2017.
Joo Hyuk is best known for his hit drama series drama series Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, which aired on ABS-CBN; Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and The Bride of the Water God, which both aired on GMA-7.

The fans went wild upon seeing the two on the runway.
Joo Hyuk was overwhelmed.
He told one of the event's hosts, MYX VJ Sunny, who also served as the translator, "The best part of being artists is being loved by the fans."
When asked what motivates him to always do his best, the 24-year-old actor answered, "For everyone gathered here today, it's what motivates [me] to do [my] best."
For her part, Dara said she treasures her friendships with former 2NE1 group mates Bom, CL, and Minzy
"Sila na yung kasama ko nung trainee pa ako, mga ten years ago.
"Sila yung mga kasama ko pag practice, during the hard times, sila yung nagturo sa akin kung pano kumanta, pano sumayaw.
"Kaya naging swag din ako. Nakaka-miss din sila."
IDEA OF ROMANTIC DATE
What's the most memorable gift he received from his fans?
His translated answer was: "There was a time he was in an interview na he said he wanted strawberries, and seconds after, there was a fan who brought strawberries for him."
What's his idea of a romantic date?
"He wants to take every one on a trip to the most beautiful beach in the Philippines."
But there's a catch: "KKB" (Kanya-kanyang bayad).
WHAT SANDARA MISSES ABOUT THE PHILIPPINES
Among the many thing she loves about her second home, the singer/actress misses "Sinigang na Hipon" the most.
The YG Entertainment artist explained, "Kasi ang mga tao, I can see them everyday sa video call di ba? High-tech na.
"Pero yung food, siyempre hindi ko kaya i-video call so sinigang yung pinaka-nakaka-miss."
Before the Q&A segment ended, Joo Hyuk thanked the fans.
"It's his first time to spend time with his Filipino fans in this kind of big stage so he hopes everyone had fun.
"And we also had fun at the FanCon today so thank you guys so much."
Dara assured the crowd that Joo Hyuk has already fallen in love with the Philippines.
"Wala talaga akong masabi, thank you. Sobrang maraming maraming salamat sa mga nagsusuporta sa akin, since 2004.
"Siyempre babalik ako and sa tingin ko, after today, mapapamahal din kay Joo Hyuk ang Pilipinas.
"I'm sure babalik din siya. So thank you and mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat."
Several local talents provided entertainment before Dara and Joo Hyuk appeared on stage.
OPM artists Keiko Necesario and Khalil Ramos did an acoustic duet of the late pop superstar Michael Jackson's song "Billie Jean."
For his solo performance, Khalil rocked the stage with his version of Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris."
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN teen star Maris Racal performed Camilla Cabello's "Sangria Wine."
Rumored couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte also had solo performances.
Loisa channeled her inner Dua Lipa and performed "IDGAF," while Ronnie performed Justin Bieber and Major Lazer's "Cold Water."
OPM rock band IV of Spades—composed of Zildjian Benitez (vocals and bass guitar), Blaster Silonga (vocals and lead guitar), and Badjao De Castro (drums)—performed their chart-topping hits "Mundo," "In My Prison," and "Where Have You Been, My Disco?"
