Lotto fever seems to have reached its peak as the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office announced on their official Facebook page yesterday, October 8, that the estimated jackpot prize for Ultra Lotto 6/58 is at an all-time high of PHP1 billion.

For weeks, Pinoys have been flocking to lotto stalls to try their luck.

One netizen even quipped on Twitter, "hala! si jollibee tumataya na rin sa Lotto!!! bwahahahaha"

With the estimated jackpot prize at a billion pesos, it's no surprise to see people lining up to buy a lottery ticket.

Even celebrities lined up.

DJ Durano almost got the winning combination during last Friday's draw.

But some netizens stayed realistic about the chances of winning the lotto prize.

Some people even did the math.

Meanwhile, one netizen laid down the hard truth behind the nation's obsession with lotto.

He tweeted, "'Sana manalo ako sa lotto' is the cry of the Filipino people tired of the miserable life this economic system gives us."

The lottery draw for the estimated jackpot prize of PHP1 billion will be tonight, October 9.
