Jason Abalos enjoys riding his motorcycles when he's not busy with his showbiz commitments.
The 33-year-old actor has been fond of motorcycles ever since he was a teen.
He told PEP.h (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview, "Bata pa lang ako... Natigil lang nung high school ako kasi naaksidente ako nung nagmomotor ako."
But what sparked his interest for motorbikes?
Jason talked about his passion with PEP.ph at the launch of Sperry CVO Sneakers 1935 last September 27, Thursday, in STKD Zeppelin, Brixton St., Pasig City.
Jason currently has five motorbikes parked in his garage.
He owns two YZ250F Motocross Motorbike and a WR250F Cross Country Motobike. Both models are from Yamaha.
According to its official website, these units come with a starting price tag of $8,099 or around PHP438,953.
He also owns a Vespac Scooter, which he usually uses when doing errands.
A Vespa scotter has a starting price of PHP125,000.
The last one is a Yamaha XSR900, which had an introductory price of PHP579,000 in 2016, according to Topgear Philippines.
According to Jason, he started buying motorbikes in 2015.
"Siguro mga three years ago, sa motocross."
When asked about the factors he considers when buying a motorbikes, he said, "Ako kasi mas Japanese ako, e.
When he bought his first motorbike, his hometown became his first destination.
"Nung una akong nakabili ng big bike, umuwi agad ako ng Nueva Ecija. Nabigla ako, ang sakit sa katawan."

What an epic day. Got to ride my bike (finally may mileage na) and visit my parents in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija. Spent time with my bro @luispible who I know I met for a reason and purpose. Thank you, Lord, for guiding our trip and ofcourse thank you @vimrushton for allowing me to ride today. 🙏🏼😘🤙🏼 #weareteamspyder
While the Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko star has always enjoyed the adrenaline rush from riding his dirt bikes, he also warned it can sometimes be dangerous.
When asked if he's worried about accidents, he said, "Hindi naman.
Jason's girlfriend, Vicki Rushton, however, admitted getting nervous every time Jason would get on his bike.
Nonetheless, Jason said the minor mishaps have helped him become a careful and better driver.
He explained, "Defensive driving na parang kailangan lagi kang alerto.
