Valentine's Day is not exclusive to couples, and is not strictly celebrated on February 14.
On Instagram, Sunshine Cruz proudly posted her daughters' "it's better than late" Valentine's Day letters and messages.
Her second daughter Samantha took to Instagram Stories to create a lengthy "appreciation post" for her mom.
Her caption read, "happy (late) hearts day to my forever valentine!
"mommy you already know how much love we all have for you.
"although we may sometimes do wrong things we truly just want to see you happy not mad nor sad.
"I am so grateful and blessed to have such an amazing, hardworking, beautiful, funny and supportive mom like you.
"remember that everything we do, we do our best for you because honestly all we really want to do is make you proud and just to see you happy.
"always know that no matter what challenges you may face in life we can all go through it together as a team.
"I hope you know that we are so proud and amazed of what you've become!
"despite all the challenges you've been through, you managed to raise us three on your own to become what we are today,
"you manged to inspire and influence people with your talent in acting and singing,
"you managed to finish what you left of in school which inspired us to work hard and to do well in our academics,
"the list could go on but it would be too long na!
"mommy, please always know that I love you and you'll always have my heart
"not just on valentines day but for every other day and the days to come,
"Love You Mommy!"
Sunshine replied through her own post's caption, "Too sweet Sam. Thank you. I love you so much! [heart emoji]
"Kayo ang buhay at inspiration ko.
"I will always be here for the three of you.

"I may sometimes forget that you are only 14 years old (you are so tall kasi!), remember na whatever mom tells you is always for your own good because as a mother, I only want the best for my children.

Her eldest child Angelina chose to deliver her Valentine's Day message the old-school way: a handwritten letter.
Angelina's message read, "Dear Mommy,
"Sorry I haven't given you anything on Valentine's Day itself.
"It doesn't mean that I don't love you though.
"So here's a kinda-late letter and gift for you this Valentine's.
"I just want to let you know, for sure, that I love you so much, and nothing ever change that.
"I'm sorry if I haven't been showing it that much, please know that I love you very much.
"You have been nothing but a strong, brave, and caring mother...
"Thank you so much for everything, and know that I'll never get tired of showing how much I love you.
"Love, Angelina."
Sunshine captioned, "Better late than never. Thank you! I love you @angelinaisabele #valentinemonth #valentine2019"
Now here's the message of bunso Chesca, who posted it on her Instagram Stories.
She wrote, "happy valentine's day mommy!! sorry if this letter is really late.
"first of all i just wanted to say thank you for being there for me, not only as a mother, but as a best friend as well.
"thank you for all the kwentos, kalokohans and the advice you have given me.
"thank u for tolerating me because i know i can be really makulit at times hehehe.
"and basically thank u for being you.
"thank you for being the amazing mother that you truly are.
"you've raised not only, me, but ate bunching and ate sam also, and you've raised all three of us to be independent and to be ourselves.
"when i grow up, i wanna be just like you.
"not only because of all your successes in life but also the person that you are.
