Before Ruffa Gutierrez's daughters Lorin, 16, and Venice, 15, entertain suitors, she gives them the lowdown about matters of the heart.
At her launch as the ambassador of a beauty clinic, she told the media, "I told Lorin and Venice, your first love normally won't be your last love even if you want it to be. It doesn't happen."
The celebrity mom hopes that when they experience their first heartbreak in the future, the two young ladies will just take it in stride.
Ruffa continued, "Twenty years from now, after you have gotten over your first love, pagtatawanan mo na lang iyan. 'Ginawa ko yun?!?' or 'Ewww, nagustuhan ko siya?' Ganoon lang."
She ended with a hearty laugh, "So hindi ako naniniwala sa first love never dies, 'cause mine died!"
For now, Ruffa points out that her girls need to prioritize their studies.
She emphasized, "Achieve your dreams. I tell them that the world is big.
"Don't focus on guys. Darating din iyan."
Heeding her mom Annabelle Rama's beauty advice, Ruffa tells the same to Lorin and Venice.
She said, "I want my girls to grow up loving their bodies and loving their skin, and not have plastic surgery as much as possible, even for anyone."
While the girls stick mostly to facials and scrubs, Ruffa keeps it natural by choosing non-invasive treatments and procedures.
She added, "Now, may new bonding activity na I can do with my two teenage girls na natural, 'tapos holistic approach kasi may mga latte pa, organic food."
The former beauty queen's last post about her boyfriend Jordan Mouyal was in November 2018.
Meanwhile, Jordan's most recent Instagram post was in November 2019. It was a photo of him and Ruffa at the Opulence ball, which was organized by the latter's brother Raymond Gutierrez.
How come her Instagram feed no longer has lovey-dovey posts?
She replied, "I am always in love, never naman nawawala, e.
"I just don't like posting, because hindi makakatulong sa career ko, di naman kami magka-love team, why pa? Sometimes people, they overshare, especially on Instagram, yung mga, 'Baby, I love you....' Ewwww."
"I would like to keep my private life private."
Ruffa dropped her voice to a near-whisper to make sure her mom, Annabelle Rama, would not comment, "My mom never liked anyone for me, wala naman siya naging gusto for me ever since.
"So keeping the peace, okay na rin yun, ayaw ko rin mag-post ng weird things na, 'Hey baby,' kasi may mga dalaga na akong anak!"
