After six years of living in Califonia, Geneva Cruz is back in Manila.
But the returning actress-singer leaves a part of her heart behind in the States: her son Heaven.
Last week, Geneva celebrated Heaven's 24th birthday and the celebrity mom got emotional on her birthday message.
Published as it was written, her Instagram post read: "My only son, Heaven just turned 24 today.
"It's crazy how the time flies and the moments go.
"Last year was a challenging year for you and our little family, yet It was also a special time for us to bond and get closer.
"I am very grateful for the times I had to set up my alarm, only so I could make your morning coffee so you wouldn't be late for work... or to just sit down with you and talk about your day or the songs you've been creating.
"I treasure those moments."
Geneva then assured Heaven: "Dear #Son, no matter how much you have grown, for me, you are always going to remain my cutest, smartest, most precious baby boy.
"I wish your baby sis and I were with you today, but please know that one of the biggest reasons why I'm back over here in Manila is you.
"May all your dreams and wishes come true, and I thank God for choosing me to be your #mom. I love you to the moon and back. Stay up! So proud of you!
"Love,
"Mommy-O"
Heaven is Geneva's son with Introvoys drummer, Paco Arespacochaga.
Before leaving for Manila, Geneva appeared on Paco's podcast, where the former couple briefly talked about their son.
"I'm so proud of him," Geneva said, referring to Heaven's budding career as an independent hip-hop artist.
"Si Heaven is a great composer-songwriter. Magaling talaga iyan.
"'Tsaka iyong beats, you know, most of the time siya iyong gumagawa. He's a producer, arranger, songwriter.
"Iyon nga lang, minsan kapag kakanta siya, minsan nawawala sa tono. Mapapalaki lang mata ko nang konti, but then again, you know, puwede naman pag-aralan iyon, e.
"Pag medyo nagigil siya doon sa boses niya, sasabihin ko lang, 'Relax lang.' I'm there."
Geneva said she would only be "hands-on" with Heaven's music whenever he would ask for her opinion.
"Pagka may bago siyang kanta, lagi niya pinaparinig sa akin. 'Mom, what do you think? What do you think is lacking? What do you think of what I'm trying to say here?'
"Papakinggan ko, iyong melody papakinggan ko. He's so dedicated and he's so passionate and minsan naiiyak ako sa tuwa.
"I think that iyong music has become like a lifesaver. Iyon talaga iyon."
Geneva has two kids: Heaven, 24, and London, 5.
London is her daughter with former boyfriend Lee Paulsen.
