Like many parents, Andi Eigenmann loves taking photos of her kids and posting them online.
More than just documenting their daily life, Andi does this, she says, to preserve cherished memories.
She expresses her sentiments on Instagram on May 14, 2020, along with a video of herself and eldest daughter, Ellie, laughing heartily.
Her caption reads: "I’m so glad I took the advice of those parents that said to take part in photos (or videos) with our kids.
"It doesn’t matter if I have a huge zit on my face! Because when you’ll need a good look back at them, you won’t notice those anyway. I couldn’t agree more.
"As I took a look at this today, I was instantly reminded of this memory we made and how much more of these I wish for us to make."
Andi is spending quarantine days in Siargao with her partner, Philmar Alipayo, and their daughter Lilo.
Meanwhile, Ellie is in Manila, where she studies and where her father Jake Ejercito is based.
Andi is clearly feeling the separation from her eight-year-old daughter. As she writes in her post, "I miss you sooo much, my girl!
"No matter the distance, you are always, always in my heart.
"I can’t wait for us to laugh and goof around again together REAL SOON!"
Metro Manila is under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until May 15.
Although the region is set to transition into modified ECQ the following day, May 16, the government is still prohibiting land, air, and sea travel except for work and medical purposes.
Meanwhile, Siargao is transitioning from the stricter ECQ to the more relaxed GCQ (General Community Quarantine) on May 16. Metro Manila will reportedly follow suit on May 31, 2020.
Travel will be allowed by then, provided that both origin and destination are under GCQ.
