Family is the "the silver lining" that Geoff Eigenmann clings onto during the quarantine.
Geoff tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) through a phone interview, "With this lockdown, I'm at home with them 24/7.
"Imbes na school, teacher nagbabantay sa kanila sa classes, ako iyong katabi nila.
"So, for me talaga, it's really family. Getting to see them every day, grow every day."
Soon to be a dad of three, Geoff has come to realize how precious family time is, especially with his kids still in their formative years.
He muses, "Nakikita mo kung ano iyong natutunan nila bago sa araw-araw.
"You see the difference, the growth that happens every day. It happens right before your eyes.
"Not everyone can see that. Usually, it's only the stay-at-home moms nakaka-experience iyon o yayas.
"For me, happy ako na nakikita ko lahat iyon. Na I'm there for my kids while they're experiencing all of that."
Before the COVID-19 outbreak, the ABS-CBN actor was away on location most of the time for the taping of The Killer Bride, the drama series in which he played a major role.
That was the time when his partner Maya Flores gave birth to their second child Angus in June 2019 and Geoff got to be with his newborn son for just "three or four days."
He recalls to PEP.ph, "I would only see him on weekends kasi our shoots would be out-of-town, three to four times a week. I would be gone every other day."
So when quarantine took effect, Geoff has been more than happy to make up for lost time with his son, remarking, "Nakabawi iyong seven months."

As a father, Geoff tags himself as both the fun and strict parent.
He shares, "But sa amin ni Maya, ako iyong disciplinarian because I was brought up that way."
The Kapamilya talents further relates that in his childhood home, being disciplined came in the forms of "palo, belt, ganoon-ganoon" by his parents Michael de Mesa and Gina Alajar.
In his own household, Geoff is happy to say he does not intend to be that strict to his kids, "As much as possible, ayaw namin mangyari iyon.
"As of now, it's not an option. We're very good with how things are going."
Geoff and Maya have two kids: Arabella, 3, and Angus, 1.
The couple are expecting their third child, a girl, come November.
