Dimples Romana's daughter Callie Ahmee is heading for Australia next year for her college degree.
The 17-year-old social media personality will be studying Aviation, and is so looking forward to this new adventure.
Callie told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): "I have the opportunity to study abroad and get input especially from other people.
"I feel like it's an experience that I really need in order to be independent and just learn how to live with myself even for a short time."
Callie said adjusting to a new environment will be "okay naman" as her mom Dimples and her dad Boyet Ahmee will accompany in the first few months.
Dimples quipped, "For a few months that means mga two years! Just kidding."
PEP.ph spoke to Callie and Dimples at the virtual media event celebrating Preview.ph's 25th anniversary.
When Dimples was asked about Callie's decision to study abroad, she said, "Siguro I've always been the kind of parent that really lets my children be.
"Like I really support whatever they feel like doing, especially for Callie.
"Callie has been very reserved, very far away from what I am. Like I really like to speak my mind and I'm very outgoing. Very social.
"Si Callie kasi has always been very reserved and yet very creative, and I saw that in her naman.
"Natutuwa lang ako that we reached a compromise where she will be happy, we will also be happy. Happy to support her.
"All I want really is for my children to grow up knowing that they are loved, their opinions are valued.
"It is important for me that they are happy with the decisions they are making because at the end of the day, they will be living with that decision that they are making for themselves.
"Ako naman, nagpapasalamat lang ako sa Diyos that somehow we are being given the opportunity to make her study where she wants to go.
"Mas masaya ako. Napakasaya ko kasi Callie has really grown up to be a fine lady."
Callie has also launched an online business, which she intends to manage from Australia.
