Phoemela Baranda, 40, is now a mommy of two girls.
On March 5, 2021, before the clock struck midnight, she shared the good news to her Instagram followers.
Posting a photo of her being kissed by partner Jason Chuachuy after she gave birth, she wrote in the caption, "Thank you for all the prayers & well wishers. Delivery went very smoothly, we’re safe and healthy."
She picked the name Illya for her second daughter.
In the same post, she thanked her OB-gynecologist, Dr. Martin Pedrosa Manahan, and pediatrician, Dr. Romeo Nuguid, for being part of her journey "from first month of my pregnancy till the delivery."
Of course, she gave Jason a shout-out: "Beyond happy with you by my side."
The model and the businessman were brought together by their love for car racing.
In November 2019, the two raced together at the 2019 Ultra 4 Hours Endurance Race in Clark International Speedway, Pampanga.
In November 2020, Phoem (her nickname) happily announced her pregnancy and flaunted her baby bump in all its glory via a pictorial with Preview.ph.
Her firstborn Kim Nichole Baranda was 21 at that time (she turned 22 in December), and Phoem recalled being only 19 the first time she gave birth.
"This time, the only difference is that I'm more mentally prepared, but same amount of excitement and love, especially that my partner and Kim are beside me for support,” she told the fashion website.
She had been in good health well, thanks to healthy eating and Pilates, which "boosts flexibility, balance, and prevents back pain by strengthening the pelvic floor and core muscles which support the spine.
Congratulations, Phoem and Jason!
