It's a baby girl for former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder Rachel Peters and Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte.
Rachel shared the good news via an Instagram post and a four-minute vlog uploaded on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
The long-time couple had an intimate gender-reveal party with their closest family members in Camarines Sur.
In the Instagram video, both Rachel and Migz thought that they were having a baby boy.
Migz said, "If you ask me, I think, maybe it's gonna be a boy."
Rachel added, "I would love for the baby to be a girl, but I'm 99.9 percent sure, it's a boy."
Migz also shared that based on experience, the first child on his side of the family had always been a boy.
He said, "I also think it's a boy because the Villafuerte and the Reyes, which is my mom's maiden name... the first child is always a boy."
On the other hand, Rachel contributed that her side of the family always had a baby girl.
The former beauty queen said, "But in the Peters family, the eldest kid is always the girl so 50-50."
The couple also asked their family members to make a guess—eight voted for baby boy, while six chose baby girl.
Later in the video, the two were seen holding colored smoke bombs, which released pink smoke. Rachel got emotional after finding out she's going to have a girl.
She said, "I'm so not ready for that."
