Rich Asuncion has some good news from Australia: "Baby #2 on the way! Here we go again..."
Her Instagram post dated September 11, 2021 featured two photos.
The first showed the StarStruck alumna and her eldest daughter Bela showing their tummies: Bela's had "#1" written on it while Rich had "#2." The second was a copy of the sonogram which indicated "10.09.2021" as the date when the ultrasound was performed, "27.04.2022" as the EDD or Estimated Date of Delivery, and "7wk5day," the baby's fetal age.
Congratulations poured in for the Kapuso actress.
Her close friend Sheena Halili wished, "Sana baby boy naman."
Fellow StarStruck alumna Jade Lopez, who is also pregnant with her second baby, got this reply from Rich, "It's a tie!!!"
Rich has been based in Canberra since March 2020, the start of the global pandemic.
In June 2020, she talked about getting her first pay from her "casual job" as a waitress in a restaurant.
At wala akong karapatan mag-inarte kasi nabigyan ako panibagong chance to start anew.
"My point here is, I know most of us will need to adjust to a new/different life after this pandemic. And that’s not all that bad.
"To be able to survive through this is already a blessing. As hard as it may seem, look for the silver lining."
In her case, being able to do her duties as a hands-on mom and continuing her studies top her list of priorities.
That same month, she was offered "a full-time job at a Daycare where I can work closely with Bela."
It seems like her stay in Australia will be permanent because she and husband Benj Mudie already "put down a reservation for our future home."
Toward the end of her post, she wrote, "Be grateful because some people have lost more than you already have. Sa ngayon ay tanggap ko na at masaya na ko sa bago kong buhay kasama ang aking pamilya.
"Life is indeed a journey full of highs and lows but you should never stop moving and you always keep moving forwards."
In March 2021, Rich finally felt fully settled in their new abode.
Her Instagram post revealed that moving to Australia was one of the "best decisions" she made.
"One year na kami sa Australia. Around this time last year, we decided to move here. It was indeed one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Leaving everything behind to face all the uncertainties wasn’t an easy feat. Pero dahil kasama ang pamilya, mas naging matibay at matatag. Now, I can honestly say I am content and happy with this new life away from the limelight. New career, new adventures, new hope!"
Rich got her partner visa, which allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen to live in Australia, in January 2021, her birthday month.
Their daughter Bela is turning three in December 2021.
