Will Pokwang's youngest daughter Malia follow in her footsteps and join showbiz?

The GMA-7 comedienne thinks her Tisay tot with American actor Lee O'Brian is a natural entertainer.

"Nakikita ko siya talaga, entertainer siya," Pokwang said in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Zoom.

The 51-year-old celebrity mom said Malia loves performing Lady Gaga songs.

She recalled, "Ano siya e, yung...

Like si Blippy, Cocomelon. Iyang mga iyan...

"May sarili siyang vlog din. Yung aming vlog. Pero, Lady Gaga? Ano yun?

"'Tsaka sino yung kumanta ng, 'Ma-i-a hi, Ma-i-a ho, Ma-i-a ha ha...'"

The song Pokwang mentioned was the 2003 song titled "Dragostea Din Tei" by Moldovan pop group O-Zone. The song was also sampled by American rapper T.I. in his 2008 single "Live Your Life" which featured Rihanna.

The Kapuso star also noted that her daughter loves dancing to songs of Sarah Geronimo, Blackpink, and BTS.

MALIA LEARNING LANGUAGES

Pokwang also observed that Malia can now understand and speak a few English words, thanks to their efforts in teaching her the language so she can easily communicate with her American grandparents.

"Ini-english namin. So, kailangan pa rin namin ituloy yung English niya."

But Pokwang noted that they do teach Malia some Filipino words. One word Malia recently learned was "utot."

Pokwang told PEP.ph, "Yung Tagalog namin sa kanya, is pasulpot-sulpot lang, like, 'Ah, opo,' ganon. 'Tapos yung 'kakain.' Yung latest niya ngayon yung, 'Utot.'

"Ang cute niya kapag binabanggit niya yung utot. Kapag narinig ka niyang umutot, 'Ah! Utot?!' Ganon siya, ganyan. 'Tsaka 'gutom,' alam niya iyan!"

Pokwang and her husband Lee, whom she calls Papang, have an agreement that Malia should focus on learning English and Filipino first.

But the comedienne revealed they are also considering teaching Malia other languages, including Spanish and Japanese.

Baka malito.'"
