"It's a boy!!!"
Yup, Angeline Quinto will be welcoming a son in March 2022.
She made the announcement via Instagram on January 31: "Sa wakas maisi-share ko na rin sa inyong lahat ang gender ng aking baby. Maraming salamat ate Vice @praybeytbenjamin at sa Viceral family para sa gender-reveal party niyo sa akin!
"Excited na po ako sa journey ko bilang isang ina. Maraming salamat Panginoon sa isang napakagandang blessing na ibinigay niyo sa akin!"
Her intimate party was held at the home of Vice Ganda in December 2021.
At the time, Angeline was five month pregnant, and was clueless about the gender of her panganay.
Only her handler Kate Valenzuela knew the ultrasound result.
The 32-year-old Kapamilya singer thought she was having a baby girl.
In the 20-minute vlog on Vice Ganda's YouTube channel, Angeline said, "Ako, feeling ko...babae."
The It's Showtime! host threw in, "Dahil?"
Angeline replied, "Wala, yun yung pakiramdam ko, e."
She added, "Hindi... gusto ko kasi. Kasi gusto ko ngang ipangalan sa Mama Bob ko."
Mama Bob (or Sylvia Quinto in real life) is Angeline's adoptive mom. She passed away in November 2020.
During the program, most of the people asked by Vice before the reveal also thought it was a baby girl.
Only Angeline's personal manager Rain Wong said, "Baby boy."
Olivia Zarate, a trusted friend of Vice and Angeline, answered, "LGBTQ+."
The stand-up comedian/singer/actor/host exclaimed, "Tama ka!"
Vice and Angeline finally opened the box, which was filled with blue balloons and the words "It's a boy!!!"
The mom-to-be exclaimed, "Lalakiiii!"
When asked about her reaction, Angeline told Vice, "Masaya pa rin ako. Pero hindi ko ini-expect talaga na lalaki. Ang akala ko talaga babae."
To which Vice quipped, "Sa ngayon pa lang iyan, boy. Yung nanay ko rin naman sa buong pag-aakala niya, lalaki. Napanindigan ba niya yung akala niya?"
But of all the guests, Vice's mom Rosario Viceral was the most shocked.
In fact, before the gender reveal, while having dinner inside Vice's house, Angeline first talked to Nanay Rosario about her pregnancy.
She began, "Nay, meron akong gustong sabihin sa iyo…"
Laughing, Vice interjected, "Yung boses mo, parang spiel sa concert."
Angeline continued, "Nay, gusto kong sabihin ito nung nasa America pa tayo kaya lang lagi, di naman tayo nagkakasama nang matagal, e.
"Wala na rin ang Mama Bob ko, gusto kong i-share sa inyo yung napaka-espesyal na regalo sa akin ni Lord.
"Dahil magkakaroon po kayo ng apo sa akin."
Mommy Rosario paused.
Vice remarked, "Linawin mo…"
Angeline joked, "Siya po yung tatay."
Then turning more serious, she admitted, "Nay, magkakaroon na ako ng baby."
There was another pause before Mommy Rosario replied, "Maniwala ako sa iyo."
Again, Angeline joked, "Nay, panibagong miyembro ng Viceral."
Vice underlined, "Buntis siya. Baka sa akin talaga iyan, ha. Nagtabi pa tayo sa America."
The two performers had their #VaxGanda202 concert tour in the U.S. in October 2021.
In the end, Vice told his mom. "Pero lilinawin namin, Nanay, siya lang nakabuo niyan, wala akong kinalaman diyan."
Even after Angeline showed the sonogram, Mommy Rosario said, "Hindi ako makapaniwala."
That was when Vice led Angeline and Mommy Rosario to the lawn where the gender-reveal party was held.
Vice Ganda joked, "Pero bago natin alamin kung lalaki o babae, alamin muna natin kung tao o hayop ang nabuo niya."
Toward the end of the short program, there was a baby shower where each guest gave Angeline a gift and a short message.
Mommy Rosario said, "Hanggang ngayon hindi ako makapaniwala pero haping-happy ako kay Angge kasi para kong anak ito.
"I wish she will give me a chance na samahan ko siya sa kanyang journey. At sana maging malusog yung baby, masaya siya."
Vice's message was most touching, "Wala kang dapat ipangamba kasi you will be okay with us. We will make sure that you’re okay.
"You are so loved Angeline and si Bobby..."
Bobby, Vice's nickname for the baby, was inspired by Mama Bob.
Of course, there's a special message from a special someone.
Vice began, "Ano ka ba, eto pa, merong special na magmi-message sa iyo."
Angeline, who has not revealed the identity of her baby's dad, asked, "Sino ba?"
Vice said, "Siyempre hindi naman puwedeng kami-kami lang. Siyempre kailangan…yung mga tao nagtatanong din, gusto rin nilang marinig yung mensahe nung pinakamahalagang tao na kasama mo."
He added, "Waiter," which made everyone laugh.
