Marian Rivera recently discovered Zia's interest in make-up.
On Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the press launch of Kamiseta Skin Lotion in Makati City, Marian said, "Nandun siya ngayon sa make-up na mag-explore siya na parang minsan nagugulat ako, 'Anak, paano mo nagawa? Anak, yung tungkil.' 'What’s tungkil, Mama?'"
Tungkil refers to winged eyeliner.
Marian continued, "May mga ganung moment kami ni Zia na nakakatuwa, kasi in fairness, magaling siya mag-make-up. Nandun siya ngayon sa make-up-make-up.
"Hindi lang yung make-up na maganda, ha? Talagang… yung queen of hearts, yung tinatanggal niya yung kilay niya, 'tapos kukulayan niya ng something… yung Alice in Wonderland. 'Look, Mama!'"
Marian is letting her daughter experience and learn new things while she's young.
But the Kapuso mom stands firm on her decision not to let Zia enter showbiz until she finishes her education.
She explained, "Sa ngayon, ayaw talaga namin. Kasi… lalo na si Zia, parang yung mag-seven years old na siya. Hindi na siya yung literal na bata.
"So, yung pag-iisip niya, alam natin na pag seven years old, buung-buo na iyan. So, mas maganda siguro na may sarili siyang buhay kung ano yung gusto niyang gawin.
"Siguro, kung gusto niyang gawin ito after ng pag-aaral niya, e, nasa dugo talaga niya ang umarte or modeling, e, di why not?"
ZIA AND ZIGGY'S ACTIVITIES THIS PANDEMIC
Meanwhile, the celebrity mom is glad that her children Zia and Ziggy can now enjoy activities they couldn't do at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The GMA-7 actress recalled how excited her six-year-old daughter was when she was finally allowed to attend a face-to-face class after receiving her COVID-19 vaccine.
"Super happy niya," Marian said in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
She continued, "Sabi niya, 'Iba talaga, Mama, when you see your classmates and your teacher face to face...' Di ba? You appreciate them more."
Aside from going to school, Zia now also gets to try new activities outside their home. Recently, the mother-daughter tandem bonded over a pottery class.
Two-year-old Ziggy, on the other hand, has started attending soccer clinics.
While Marian allows her kids to participate in these activities, she makes sure that they still follow health protocols to prevent them from getting infected by the coronavirus.
Marian said, "Yung sa pottery, kami lang dalawa ni Zia talaga dun and the teacher. 'Tapos si Sixto naman, small group lang sila and yung coach and one assistant.
"Minsan tatlong bata lang sila and then, naka-face mask pa rin sila. Ano pa rin, social distancing pa rin."
