On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Karen Davila takes to Instagram to express how proud she is of her son David, who falls under the autism spectrum, for mounting his first-ever art exhibit for a cause.

Karen Davila is proud to see her eldest son David achieve another milestone.

David, who falls under the autism spectrum, is Karen's 19-year-old son with her husband DJ Sta. Ana.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Karen took to Instagram to show her son's paintings and sculptures for his very first art exhibit.

David is ending his first year in taking a special Visual Arts course. His school has "individualized" curriculum "to meet students' specific needs, unique goals, and pathways."

In one of her posts, Karen uploaded a video of her son showing his art creations.

The veteran broadcaster hoped that sharing her son's accomplishments would also inspire others to achieve their dreams.

She wrote in the caption of her post (published as is), "BRAVO DAVID [emoji] Sharing with all of you some of David’s paintings from his art exhibit as he caps his first year of taking a special Visual Arts course from The Vanguard Academy!

"It makes me so proud to share David’s journey & his accomplishments because I know it will inspire other mothers with gifted & special kids to believe, commit & invest in developing their child!"

Toward the end of the post, Karen expressed her gratitude to Ericson Perez, the head of school at the Vanguard Academy, as well as her son's teachers for guiding him throughout his first year.

Karen wrote, "Thank you @ericsonperezj and all the teachers of @thevanguardacademyph for such an amazing job! Praise God for all of you! I love you so much @iamdavidstaana [emoji] #autismawareness #proudmother #empoweringchildren #graduation

In another post, Karen further revealed that her son's paintings and sculptures, as well as the creations of his classmates, will be sold during the exhibit. Proceeds from the exhibit will go to the Missionaries of the Poor.

Karen wrote, "PROUD OF YOU DAVID [emoji] David and his classmates are closing the year with their first art exhibit - and for a good cause! These are all @iamdavidstaana’s paintings & sculptures but his classmates have beautiful works as well! [emoji]

"For all of you who know David’s journey - you know how powerful a testimony this is of God’s grace & goodness!

"All proceeds of the artworks & photographs will go to the MISSIONARIES OF THE POOR! You can call @ericsonperezj at +63 998 850 6420 and visit the Vanguard Academy along Rockwell, Edsa - exhibit is until Friday [emoji]"

Celebrities left messages on Karen's Instagram post to congratulate David.

Celebrity mom Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan wrote, "Galing!!! We are partnered with Missionaries for the Poor as well [emoji] Congratulations David!!"

Saab Magalona commented, "Awesome, David!!"

Dyan Castillejo wrote in the comments section, "Praise the Lord Congratulations [emoji]"

Meanwhile, Marjorie Barretto left several clapping hands emoji to congratulate David on his latest milestone.
