This new milestone for the Lagdameo family was beautifully sealed by Dawn in a heartwarming Instagram Reel on August 28, 2023, following their trip to Fordham University, a Jesuit-run college located in the vibrant city of New York.
With a heartfelt caption accompanying the reel, Dawn expressed her gratitude, saying, "Farewell drop-off today.
"Big THANK YOU to everyone in the welcoming committee at @fordhamuniversity for the very warm & reassuring welcome we received this week [emoji]"
She also wrote a reassuring message addressed to the 17-year-old college student: "We will miss you, Son @jacobolagdameo [emoji]
"But we’re never far away… Papa and I are so proud of you [heart emoji] #fordhamuniversity"

The reel also showed various family moments, such as strolling around Martyrs' Court, which is one of the many green spaces on the west-end of the campus, attending the assembly for incoming students, and organizing Jacobo's room.
Yesterday, Dawn also shared a series of Instagram Stories that offered more snippets from their time inside the campus.

In one of the posts, Dawn mentioned the presence of many "kababayans" within the university who helped the Lagdameo scion feel at home.
This sense of shared culture undoubtedly provides Jacobo with a comforting setting as he steps into a new phase of his life.
And it will be a constant reminder that even as he embarks on his personal journey, the warmth of his roots is never far away.
Jacobo finished his high school studies at the International School of Manila on May 27, 2023.
Dawn and Antonio tied the knot on December 27, 1997. They have two children together—Jacobo, whom they welcomed on October 19, 2005, and Ayisha Madlen Lagdameo, born on June 22, 2009.
