Lotlot de Leon will be part of the Mother’s Day celebration of Spiral restaurant in Sofitel Phillipine Plaza Manila Hotel.
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “They actually texted or called Janine [Gutierrez, her eldest daughter] because Janine did yung Explore na shoot.
“So they got in touch with her, and they asked her if it was alright.
"And they got in touch naman with me, and then I told them to get in touch with GMA.
“So pumayag ako kasi I really like Sofitel and dahil nga meron akong memories dun, so I agreed.”
Lotlot will be joining Marjorie Barretto and Janice de Belen, together with their daughters, in cooking their favorite dishes.
“We’re just gonna share to everyone yung mg favorite dishes namin,”said Lotlot, who will be preparing grilled chicken with seven Arabic spices.
This writer had the chance to chat with the actress on May 4, in Boracay, where she stayed a few days with daughter Maxine and her beau, Lebanese businessman Fadi El Soury.
Because the topic was food, we asked: kung isa siyang pagkain, ano siya?
“Bopis!" she answered, laughing. "
"Masarap kasi kahit walang kanin. Puwedeng main meal na pang-ulam, puwedeng pulutan.”
The dish is actually part of her latest business venture, Lotlot’s Kitchen, which sells meals in a jar.
She said about acting and cooking, “The same, the same passion.”
LOTLOT, THE MOM. As a mom, how would she describe herself?
Laughing again, she replied, “The best daw, sabi ni Max,” who was beside her during the interview.
Turning a bit serious, Lotlot said, “I try to be all of the above!
“Kasi there are times that I need to be really strict with them or to be really brutally honest, straightforward, and I'm also their barkada, their friend.”
