"I'm first and foremost a mother and a wife."
That has become like a mantra to host/producer Tintin Bersola-Babao.
So those times her schedule gets busier than usual, she makes it a point not to miss any bonding activity with her husband Julius Babao and their two kids.
In fact, after the launch event of Electrolux NutriFresh Inverter Refrigerator held at the Green Sun in Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City, last November 23, she would meet her husband.
"We'll attend two art exhibits," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
The couple had also just arrived from their two-week vacation in the U.S., where Tintin celebrated her 46th birthday.
She and Julius hopped from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to San Francisco, where they recreated a kissing photo they did 15 years ago with the Golden Gate Bridge as their background.
Thirteen years after their wedding (their anniversary is on December 8), the couple still love doing things together, and enjoy each other's company.
When asked if there's any secret or formula to a happy marriage, Tintin gave a straightforward answer.
"We always find time," she said.
"Sabi nga nila 'no, 'Kung ayaw mo may dahilan, kapag gusto mo talagang gagawa ng paraan.'"
Aside from being a committed wife, Tintin is also a dedicated mother to Anya, 11, and Nio, 6.
"I'm enjoying motherhood," Tintin smiled.
"I want to live long so I can see my apos. A long and happy, healthy, productive life.
"Kapag nakikita mo mga anak mo, naiisip mo, 'Wow, ten years from now, I'll be 57. Iyong anak kong 6, 16 lang.' Alam mo iyon'"
For her, work should not be an excuse to skip out on a bonding session with the kids.
"We always bond with the kids. Vacation sa beach, sa Baguio or sa Tagaytay.
"Minsan in the middle of the week, kahit may homework the next day, palabas na iyong malaking pelikula like Star Wars, papanoorin namin first day!
"Lagi kami magkasama-sama, watching a movie. Means a lot to us."
