Leila Alcasid, according to her dad Ogie Alcasid, is not spared from bashing.

Ogie told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during his concert's press conference at Hungry Samurai in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, Ogie shared some of the hate hurled at Leila.

"Siyempre, naba-bash din. E, nandiyan yung, 'Hindi ka sisikat.' E, nahe-hurt din siya. Umiiyak minsan."

Ogie said Leila comes to him during these moments.

As a father, how does Ogie feel when his daughter receives negative comments on social media?

"Ay kaya niya yun," Ogie said, confident that his daughter can't be easily put down.

"At saka madasalin yun. Matured.

SARAH TO ENTER SHOWBIZ?

Ogie and ex-wife Michelle van Eimeren's younger daughter Sarah has the makings of a professional singer, too.

Ogie said, “Magaling din, magaling, but she’s still in high school.”

Sarah arrived in the Philippines from Australia, where she and her mom are based.

Ogie and his daughters, along with his son with wife Regine Velasquez Nate, performed together onstage for the first time at Ogie Alcasid 30th Aniversary Concert last Friday, August 24, in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ogie said he is unsure if Sarah will pursue her own singing career in the future.

He said, "Hindi ko alam, wala pa siyang sinasabi. And it’s progressive so makaka-adjust sila kung may gig ka.

"Kumbaga, tailor-made dun sa gusto niyang gawin."

Meridian International or MINT is a business, arts, and technology college in Mc Kinley, Taguig City.

Does Sarah want to follow in her Ate Leila's footsteps?
