Kristine Hermosa knows firsthand how worrisome it can be to see your child sick, but from experience, she revealed that the best way to handle the situation is to stay calm.
"Ang pinaka-nagpa-panic yung parents talaga, di ba? Kasi kapag nag-panic ka, wala, masisira ang diskarte mo," the mother of four told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and a small group of press at the Kool Fever event held last September 27 at Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
"You just really have to relax," she continued. "Pray na God will give you wisdom, and then do what’s necessary...
"Up until now, napi-feel ko pa rin minsan kinakabahan.
"Kaya sa totoo lang, si God lang talaga that’s keeping me together.
"Kaya yan basta, 'Lord always protect us.'
"Siyempre ang hirap ng may sakit-sakit, especially lately, ang daming mga viruses and all.
"Kaya prayers lang talaga and wisdom that you know what to do."
Aside from Kool Fever relief pads, what else are her go-to home remedies to subside fever?
"Paracetamol. I have also essential oils."
PRIORITIZING ME TIME
Even with kids Kiel, Ondrea, Kaleb, and Vin constantly in need of her attention and love, Kristine was quick to say that "me-time" was important.
"I have to!" she underlined, "Kailangan, you have to find time for yourself din talaga. Of course, sa buong pamilya, ang daming nangangailangan ng oras ko... So we have to have time for ourselves. Kailangan talaga."
Her favorite me-time activity? Going to the mall!
"Sa mall. Normally, nail spa lang. Low maintenance lang ako."
OPEN TO MORE KIDS?
Kristine revealed that she and her husband Oyo Sotto might still try for one more child.
"We want to have another daughter," the ABS-CBN actress said.
Referring to her daughter Ondrea, Kristine added, "Gusto niya kasi talaga ng sister. If not for her, okay na ako.
"Pero gusto niya ng sister. Sabi niya, 'All boys na lang, they are so gulo!' Pero yun nga, siya wants another [sibling].
"Para lang sa kanya."
