Dimples Romana is currently enjoying a much-deserved family vacation in Finland.
"This trip has been nothing short of amazing for all of us," the ABS-CBN actress writes in one of her Instagram posts.
"Pagkatapos ng matinding trabaho the past years, coming from several teleseryes, jumping from one to the next with only a week to rest and prepare for the next, this vacation is one I've been looking forward to having with my family.
"They've been so patient and understanding with me and I feel super inspired to come back to work after this."
Dimples, husband Boyet Ahmee, and kids Callie and Alonzo are staying at Santa's Glass Igloo Arctic Circle, located at Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Finland.
Aside from experiencing a real-life winter wonderland, Dimples and her family have a chance to view the Aurora Borealis from their glass igloo.
The Kapamilya star writes, "The view from our room was breathtaking. Nahalikan ako ng asawa ko na naiiyak na nung ginising ako because there was an alarm here in the room in case the Aurora Borealis comes out...
"This photo was taken last night by my hubby @boyetahmee around 11pm here in Rovaneimi, Finland seen from our very own glass igloo. What a blessing."
DIMPLES ROMANA'S LIFE REALIZATIONS
Dimples is also taking the time to reflect on life during this trip, and shares her musings with fans in a series of Instagram posts.
The Kadenang Ginto star says, "Work life balance is super important especially when you work extremely hard...
"Spending time with my children after a long time of working as Dani reminded me of two things.
"First, how important it is to work hard and love the work that you have. To never take anything for granted. For the work that we do will be rewarded with provision that we can give our family.
"Love the work that you do and it'll surely love you back.
"Second, that after working hard, one must never forget to take time to recharge and be with the ones who give meaning to your life.
"In short, work hard, play hard."
The family vacation also gives Dimples the chance to allow her teenage daughter Callie to explore her independence.
The mother of two says in a photo of Callie driving her own sled: "lesson for today: independence. Slowly getting ourselves ready for when Ate @callieahmee leaves for college and studies to become a pilot in Australia next year.
"Ang hirap maging magulang!!! You raise your kids, teach them, mold them, in the hopes that one day, they'll be kind, responsible and god fearing citizens when they're older."
