Romance over for Luis Allandy and Roxanne Barcelo

Barcelona might be one of the most romantic cities in the world, but its magic did not seem to work for the stars who went there to shoot for a drama-romance film by Gil Portes.

In an S-Files interview last October 15, Roxanne Barcelo said that Luis Alandy did not give her a call while he was shooting in Spain with Alessandra De Rossi for the movie Barcelona. The former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition housemate also added that Alex was not in good terms with her boyfriend Jeremy Marquez during the taping of the said movie.

Roxanne narrated in the entertainment show that she met Luis in GMA-7’s Artist Center when she was only 13 years old. “Steady kami for two months bago siya mag [shoot for] Barcelona.”

When she heard that Luis would be leaving for Barcelona, Roxanne confessed that she cried upon learning the news. “Actually umiyak pa ako. Hindi [ako] sanay na mawawala siya for that period of time. I got a text [from him] sabi [niya] mahal daw ang roaming, ‘nagstart na kami magshoot.’”

For her part, Alex denied allegations that she had a relationship with Luis Alandy. But she did admit that they became close during the taping. “Wala akong inaagaw, nananahimik ako, ayokong makipag-away dahil sa lalake, tigilan natin to.”

Luis also aired his side of the story. “Pinutol ko agad yung relationship. I’m not really into that relationship. I’m not that really in love. The problem is with me.” He talks about his leading lady, Alex: “Ako yung leading man niya, to take care of her nung nandun siya. Kami yung madalas magkasama sa eksena. Close kami. Nagkaroon ng tukso-tuksuhan. Dun nagstart na kumbaga, na-tsismis kami. Si Alex, isa sa mga totoong tao talaga na nakilala ko sa show business. Yung ugali niya na prangka, dun ako natutuwa e. Masayang kasama si Alex.” He claims that their relationship only lasted a month and a half, not two months as Roxanne said.

In an interview with YES! Online during the premiere of Barcelona, Luis stated: “[Alex and I] became closer. That’s all I can say. [Alex] is not the reason behind anything. I do my own choices. It’s my responsibility.”

Luis explained that there was no third party involved in their untimely break up. Roxanne told the S-Files: “He clearly said no. There’s no one else. I assumed na lang that in Barcelona, he had different realizations. This is your life, hindi ko papakialaman yung part na yun. Hindi ako makikipag-away. Gusto ko lang magpaka-totoo. Ayokong mang-away. Luis and I had a good two months but it’s over. I don’t blame it on anyone. I was in love.”

In the end, Luis apologized on air to Roxanne: “I’m sorry kung nasaktan kita. Sa mga nasabi ko before. Ginawa ko lang yun pero yun yung tamang gawin. I’m sorry. You just have to move on and live your life.”
