Young actress Ryza Cenon publicly apologized to GMA Artist Center over statements she made in a magazine article accusing the talent arm of GMA-7 of favoritism.
The StarStruck 2 winner also admitted she had erred in airing her grievances over her spat with fellow StarStruck graduate Jennylyn Mercado in an interview with showbiz news magazine Hi! instead of directly communicating with the network talent managers.
Her controversial interview which appeared in Hi! magazine’s December issue reportedly caused a rift between Ryza and GMA Artist Center executives.
In an interview with the GMA-7 showbiz talk show Startalk on November 18, Ryza apologized to GMA Artist Center over her revelations in the article.
It was a year ago when Ryza was accused of causing the break-up of Jennylyn and Mark Herras—StarStruck Batch 1 ultimate survivors. During this time, Ryza added in the article, Jennylyn sent her profane text messages, which she had shown to StarStruck director Rommel Gacho. Copies of these messages had then spread to the entertainment press until it reached GMA Artist Center.
While Ryza said she was unaware that GMA Artist Center also reprimanded Jennylyn, the young actress explained that she only wanted to be heard.
After learning that GMA Artist Center had been fair in handling the issue between her and Jennylyn, Ryza said she was retracting her published statements against the talent group.
Sorry.”
Ryza had revealed in the Hi! interview that GMA Artist Center was particularly favoring talents with more projects.
