After the recent mock wedding of Pia Guanio and Vic Sotto in Eat Bulaga, many people have been asking when church bells will ring for the couple.
Pia and Vic are now much more open about talking about their relationship. Vic Sotto doesn’t even deny that Pia may be the woman he will bring to the altar.
In a taped interview aired on the GMA-7 showbiz talk show Startalk last December 2, Vic said: “Siguro darating kami roon. And kung dumating man ang panahon na iyon, we’ll be glad to announce it to the whole world. Ang dalawang taong nakikipagrelasyon sa isa’t isa ay 'yun lang naman ang ultimate goal. You’re willing to spend the rest of your life with that person.”
Vic described their relationship this way: “Patibay nang patibay ang relationship namin. She’s a very loving person, [she] takes care of me well. She’s the type of person na habang matagal mong nakikilala, mas magugustuhan mo. Kahit na hindi 'yung love angle, ‘no? I mean, the more you look at her, the more she becomes [pretty]. At mas nakikilala mo yung pagkatao nya, mas gumaganda yung pagkatao nya.”
The couple does seem to be compatible. Pia—who will be doing a cameo role in Enteng Kabisote 3—herself says: “The reason Vic and I get along so well is because pareho kami ng pananaw about the important things, about life. Both of us are always of the opinion na whoever we’re with, this is going to be the last person we’re going to be with.”
Although both of them have said they are open to the idea of getting married, the couple might have to wait a little longer. Danica Sotto—Vic Sotto’s daughter by Dina Bonnevie—has plans of getting married this coming year.
“Sukob kay Danica, eh. Danica has plans to get married next year. Nag-usap na kami, together with Marc (Pingris). Si Pia pa nga yung nag-arrange ng dinner. Papaunahin ko na 'yung bata,” says the comedian generally considered to be the new Dolphy.
Wedding bells may not be heard by next year, but Vic reiterates that he is serious about his relationship with Pia: “Yeah, pwede kong ulit-ulitin yun. She’ll be the last woman in my life.”
