Keanna Reeves's latest movie might be a comedy, but the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition grand winner was seen shedding tears toward the end of her movie Reyna.
When the actress was asked which part made her cry, Keanna pointed out the beauty pageant scene, "Dun sa sagot ko. Yun, parang nararamdaman ko na sincere yung sinasabi ko."
Keanna recalls the time she shot the scene under the direction of Soxy Topacio. "Actually, nung nag-take kami noon, hindi kami nag-rehearse. Diretso na kasi galing dito eh." Then she points to her heart.
The lead star of Reyna says that they made this movie specifically for the members of the third sex. "Itong movie na ito para sa kanila talaga. Huwag silang mahiya na mag-come out sila kung ganoon sila. Magpakatotoo, kasi it's nobody's fault na naging bakla sila. Hindi naman kasalanan ng magulang, hindi rin naman nila kasalanan."
She continues: "Yun ang binigay ni Lord. Wala namang masama dun. Tao rin naman sila, may pakiramdam sila. Kung doon sila masaya, hayaan na natin...sinusundan lang naman nila kung saan sila masaya."
Produced by Viva Films, the complete title of Keanna's film is Reyna: ang makulay na pakikipagsapalaran ng mga achucherva, achuchuva, achechenes. Keanna plays the role of Ginnifer, who later transforms into a gay beauty pageant contestant named Ivanka La Strada.
The gay comedy flick also stars Eddie Garcia, Paolo Contis, Bobby Andrews, Jayson Gainza and Franzen Fajardo, all of whom act as gays in the movie. Its director, Soxy Topacio, is a well-known talent from the stage/television/movies, in all of which he both acts and directs. Incidentally, Soxy is openly gay---and loving it!
