Vina was surprised when she found out about Borgy Manotoc's statement. "Unang dumating sa akin, I was surprised. Sabi ko, ‘Borgy? Sinong Borgy?' Siyempre it was the first time I was linked to him," said Vina in a taped interview with Startalk last December 9.
The model-host Borgy played "Forbidden Questions" with DJ Mo Twister in the latter's radio program, Good Times, a few weeks ago. In that program Borgy told DJ Mo that he had slept with Vina.
Clueless as to why Borgy said that, Vina insisted that it never happened. "I don't know what he's into. He must be dreaming. He must be careful," the actress said.
"There's nothing wrong with Borgy because he's a goodlooking man, 'di ba? He comes from a good family. Kung whole package ang sasabihin mo okay, pero kung ugali naman na ganun, huwag na lang.
"Until now I'm still hurting. I have high respect sa pamilya niya. Hindi ko rin akalain na ganun. You know, I really look at him na: ‘Wow! Gentleman ito dahil mataas ang pinag-aralan, comes from a very good family.'"
The issue affected even Vina's father. "Talagang galit na galit ang daddy ko," the dancer-singer-actress said. "My dad wants me to file a case. I'm sure marami namang tutulong sa akin, knowing siyempre the Marcoses and Manotoc, they're very powerful."
However, Vina—who recently launched the 33rd branch of her Ystilo Salon—is still open to resolving the issue with a simple public apology from Borgy.
The singer-actress said, "Kung maayos naman ‘to ng magandang usapan na lang, di ba? Mag-sorry, okay na sa amin ‘yun. We can move on after that."
She reiterated, "[Siguro] kung gagawa siya ng move for a public apology I will accept that."
Vina also hoped that Borgy's mom, Ilocos Norte Representative Imee Marcos, would talk to him and give him advice.
"She's a mom, she's a woman din. So, I guess alam niya kung anong nararamdaman ng isang babae," said Vina.
