Geneva Cruz answers back

"Hindi ako masamang tao. Hindi ako nanira ng kapwa ko," was Geneva Cruz's answer to Cristy Fermin's statement that she's "retokada" and a "lousy performer"

Singers-best friends Geneva Cruz and Rachel Alejandro guested last December 6 in DJ Mo Twister's radio program, Good Times.

In the "Forbidden Questions" segment of the radio program, Geneva and Rachel answered questions like who they think is a closet gay (both answered Sam Milby), overrated singer (Rachel answered Regine Valesquez while Geneva said "Sheryn Regis"), among others.

As a reaction to their controversial interview, tabloid columnist and The Buzz co-host Cristy Fermin hit Geneva. Cristy, who is known to be close to Sam Milby, said Geneva has no right to make comments because she is just a "retokada" and a "lousy performer."

Cristy's ally and The Buzz reporter Jobert Sucaldito also joined the fray, criticizing Geneva in his tabloid columns.

In an S-Files interview last December 10, Geneva—who is now in the United States for a series of concerts with Rachel—aired her side.

Bursting in tears, she said: "I'm not a superstar. Hindi naman nila [Cristy and Jobert] ako kilala para i-judge nila ako nang ganun. Sana lang po, sigurado kayo sa mga information n'yo bago kayo manakit ng budhi at moralidad ng isang tao."

The girlfriend of VJ-TV host KC Montero also added, "Hindi ako masamang tao. Hindi ako nanira ng kapwa ko. Maraming naniniwala sa kakayahan ko. Imbes na tulungan, tinatapakan pa."

Geneva said she and Rachel are now planning to launch their international careers.

"We're talking to some people in New York. Idinadasal ko na sana ibigay ni Lord sa amin ‘yung pagkakataon to make it. Nothing is going to stop me in making my dreams come true."

Geneva is a single mother. She has a son, Heaven, with former Introvoys band member Paco Arespacochaga.
